P90x protein bars

So I have been reading the P90x nutritional plan, and it is pretty tough to stick with, because I really do not enjoy a lot of the stuff that it offers. But I did buy the P90x protein bars and I am actually quite surprised that they taste pretty darn good. I got the mocha bars and they were pretty good, but the berry flavor were just awesome. So if you are doing the P90x workout routine and your looking to try the protein bars but you are a little worried about the taste...don't be, because they are really good.

P90x day off

Happy thanksgiving everyone, hope you all have a great day with your families, make sure you tune back in tomorrow for another P90x workout review.

Here a recipe for a Rosemary roasted turkey
3/4 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt to taste
1 (12 pound) whole turkey

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic, rosemary, basil, Italian seasoning, black pepper and salt. Set aside.
Wash the turkey inside and out; pat dry. Remove any large fat deposits. Loosen the skin from the breast. This is done by slowly working your fingers between the breast and the skin. Work it loose to the end of the drumstick, being careful not to tear the skin.
Using your hand, spread a generous amount of the rosemary mixture under the breast skin and down the thigh and leg. Rub the remainder of the rosemary mixture over the outside of the breast. Use toothpicks to seal skin over any exposed breast meat.
Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan. Add about 1/4 inch of water to the bottom of the pan. Roast in the preheated oven 3 to 4 hours, or until the internal temperature of the bird reaches 180 degrees F (80 degrees C).

P90x day 11

Well today was another day of P90x legs and back. We all got through it better than the first time, except for one of us, my friend decided that he was going to try one of the advance workouts and he ended up hurting himself, he is going to be okay, and he'll probably be able to join us the next time we do a workout, but he had to quit early today. Tomorrow is Thaksgiving, so we probably will start the P90x routine back up on friday. Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving, don't get to stuffed. I probably will!

A P90x mistake

Okay, so it wasn't a P90x mistake, it was more my mistake. Since we decided we didn't really like P90x Yoga, we were going to do something different, like X Stretch or some other activity. But we all ended up just working the whole day and we didn't do anything for P90x, so we officially missed a day. Sorry

Another day of P90x

So this was the 3rd day of the second week, and we did P90x shoulder and arms again, and when I say "we" that means my two friends Derek and Jason, we all do P90x together so we can keep each other motivated. This workout routine has some great exercises in it, one of my favorite involves the P90x resistant bands, it is for the biceps, its kind of hard to explain, but you stand on your band and with one arm you you create tension with the band and you hold it there isolated, and with the other arm you do regular biceps curls, and then you switch back and forth after every fifth bicep curl. I don't know if you understood that, but it is a great workout.

P90x push up stands

P90x is difficult, but if you are looking for that something deeper, maybe something a little bit more challenging than take a look at the P90x push-up stands, also take a look at the new P90x Powerstands.  They give you a wider range of motion, so you can go deeper with your push ups.  They are also great if you have wrist problems, because they won't put your hands in an awkward position, I have the regular push up stands and they work great, but the P90x powerstands look pretty heavy duty.

P90x Keeps going

Today was P90x Plyometrics, and I got to tell you, I absolutely love this workout. To me this one is probably the most fun, but it is probably just because I like sports so much. Make sure you drink water with this P90x routine and that you have a towel available.

P90x Equipment

I want to write a post about different ways you can do workouts if you can't totally do them, because some of these workouts are pretty difficult. P90x has a lot of routines where you use a P90x Chin-up Bar, but a lot of the times people can't do chin ups or can't do a lot of them. So instead of doing just normal chin ups, put a chair in front you and use it as a spotter when doing chin ups, only put one leg on the chair and try not to use your leg as much as possible. If you do not have a chin up bar, you can also use the P90x Resistant Bands, these are great to use, they are very affective. They are also great if you do not have dumbbells. Hopefully that helps.

1st day of the 2nd week for P90x

Well, today we did P90x chest and arms, I am defiantly stronger, and I have better stamina. I was able to workout harder and really take it to this workout, I still have to spot myself when I do pull ups, but I am starting to do it without the chair. This workout has become one of my favorites, I just love a good upper body workout.

A day of rest from P90x

Today, after a long football game and a very sore body, I took the day of rest. Tomorrow I will start the second week.

Football and P90x

Today, we took a break from our P90x workout routine and went out and played football with some friends. We used to play tackle but after one of our buddies cracked his skull and another one broke his wrist in the same game, we decided it would be smart to play flag football instead of tackle. Since we played flags, its a little more difficult to get a running game going, so I played wide receiver most the game, lets just say I ran more than I have in a long time. It was a lot of fun.

Legs and Back with P90x

I just got done doing the P90x Legs and Back, I don't know about you but anything that involves lunges and wall squats, I have a very hard time with, but I made it through, and it was a very good workout. Later that day, I was walking up the stairs at my house and I could feel the how tired my legs were. I did try the P90x recovery drink and surprisingly it was very good. I will be playing football on Saturday so I won't be doing P90x Kenpo

P90x Stretching

Well, the fourth day was P90x Yoga, and I got to be honest with you, i am not a big fan of yoga, but I tried it, it was very hard, I don't think my body has ever been in those positions before, but I think for now on I will probably add an extra cardio workout instead of doing yoga. It was just to weird.

The P90x lifestyle

The 3rd day was The Shoulder and Arms P90x workout. I have to admit I wasn't to sure how hard this was going to be, and I was still little sore from the chest and back workout, so I probably didn't go all out like I should of, but I still got a good workout. The bands work great for this routine, but there was some sessions where I had to switch to dumbbells, because the bands were kind of awkward. But I really enjoyed it, next time I will go through it with a little more drive.

Working out with P90x

Well the second day, I thought was going to be easier, but to my surprise it was very difficult,  I was basically jumping for an hour, the workout is called P90x Plyometrics, its main focus is to get you do jump higher and have more endurance.    It is great for people who are doing sports, they actually use a lot of workout routines from sports in this session, I enjoyed it.

P90x workout reviews

After the first day of the P90x Chest and Arms I felt like I was challenged, I was dead tired after doing push ups and chin ups for basically a whole hour straight, with little breaks in between, but I feel like I have more energy, and I feel stronger already. The P90x is going to take awhile to get through but I think it is going to be worth it.
